A View from the Top; Travel to Buenos Aires

Wednesday, March 15, 2017

One of the greatest indulgences this morning: room service breakfast in front of the amazing view from our room:

We had our final views of the Lake District of Argentinian Patagonia today from the top of one of the mountains. We drove to this chair lift which is only for tourists; the ski area which has cable cars is a few miles away.

At the top, according to National Geographic Magazine, is one of the top five views in the world.  We are able to confirm that it is spectacular.

 We really enjoyed the view:

And then we went down:

The rest of the day was taken up with lunch, going to the airport, flying to Buenos Aires, and another three-hour dinner at a superb French restaurant.  The eating is a bit much, but oh so good.  The weather here is much warmer and rainy.  It’s supposed to stop overnight—let’s hope it does.  We begin touring Buenos Aires tomorrow.
